To prepare these delicious Applebees Restaurant Recipes, begin by blending together all of the ingredients that make up the dressing in a medium sized bowl with an electric mixer. Once you’ve done this place the dressing in the refrigerator to cool down for a bit, while you make the rest of the salad.
Heat up the oil in a fry pan (or even deep fryer) over a medium heat. The oil needs to be at least ½ an inch deep deep. In a single serving size bowl, beat the egg well, pour in the milk and mix it up thoroughly. In separate bowl, mix the flour and the cornflake crumbs with the pepper and salt. Slice the chicken breast into four or five strips. Quickly place each chicken breast strip into the egg mixture and then dip it in the flour mixture, be sure to coat each strip very well. Fry each chicken piece in the oil for five minutes or until it becomes a dark brown.
To make the salad, toss the lettuce with the red cabbage, the Napa cabbage as well as the carrot. Lightly dust the lettuce mixture with the green onion bits. Sprinkle a few almond slivers and the chow mein noodles over the salad, add the chicken strips (sliced and piled in the center) and that’s it. Serve with the dressing on the side.
