Applebees Tequila Lime Chicken Recipe
The Applebee’s tequila lime chicken recipe makes a simple and tasty meal for lunch or diner. While the chicken requires some cooking and preparation, over all this is an easy restaurant recipe to clone and make at home for you or your family at a fraction of the cost of eating out.
The Applebee’s tequila lime chicken recipe is as follows:
Ingredients:
1 (5 oz) boneless skinless Chicken Breast
¼ cup Tequila (non-alcoholic may be used)
½ cup Lime Juice
½ cup Tortilla Chips
¼ cup shredded Cheddar Jack Cheese
¼ cup Mexi-ranch Dressing (recipe to follow)
Preheat the oven, setting it to broil.
First prepare the chicken by pouring the tequila and lime juice into a zip lock plastic bag. Once you have one this put the chicken the plastic bag and let it marinate for at least 2 hours and ideally overnight.
Dressing:
To make the Mexi-ranch Dressing, add the following ingredients in a small bowl mix:
3 tblsp ranch dressing
1 tblsp salsa
Grill the marinated chicken over a medium heat for roughly ten minutes or until cooked thoroughly.
To prepare the Applebee’s chili lime chicken salad recipe like it is in the restaurant, scatter a handful of tortilla chips on a plate that is “oven safe”, lay the chicken on top of the chips, poor the dressing over the chicken, cover the chicken with the jack cheese, and broil until the cheese is melted. This dish goes great with Pico de Gallo and some Spanish rice as a side dish. As they say in just about every restaurant in the world, careful… hot plate!
